[ A day after the storm, Nagi will get a letter on fancy stationery in an equally fancy envelope addressed to him. ]

Dear Nagi,

Are you well? I hope the storm did not dampen your spirits. Recently, I have been doing very well! I met a girl called Aki next door. She is a very lovely lady who likes cute things and fencing. I think we will be good friends in the future if she does not regard me as one already. I have reason to believe this much; she promised me that she would protect me when the proper time comes. I have always been strong, so hearing such things is rather refreshing. At the same time, however, I feel a little powerless. I hope I retrieve my metal vessel from the Witch soon.

You might be wondering what a metal vessel is. It is a weapon containing a djinn whom I acquired after conquering a dungeon filled with traps and monsters. I suppose it became more I explained it, but just know that it is very important to me. Do you have something like that too?

I would like to say more but I'm afraid I need to end here. I recently applied to be a guard and I start tonight! But before I close this letter, I would like to thank you for spending time with me at the beach. Let's go somewhere else soon! The train seems to go to many places.

The righteous me doesn't get down in the dumps that easily. That storm was quite the breeze! (lolol) I met Aki back whenever we all ghost hunting. She's strict sometimes, but a really good person. That's someone that you can rely on for sure. I'm happy to hear that you're making more friends out here. There's this one guy who I call "Coward-san" that could learn a lot from you. Serious types like him really need to loosen up and have some fun----!!!

A metal vessel? Dijinn? Those sound like RPG items (lol), but I actually have some things like that. I own two Grimoires and a legendary sword that I managed grab from a dungeon too. Honestly, I've still got a long ways to go before I can fully master all three. Nowadays, I'm starting to feel more like a shounen character... [Have a small doodle of Nagi's face with spiky hair and an aura as he gives a thumbs-up.] I'll work super hard to get my items back!!!

Congratulations on your new job! I'm currently working as a chef, so I'll be more than happy to make you something special whenever you're hungry. Maybe I should be a good house husband and make you a bento for your late night guarding~? ♥ I had a lot of fun hanging out with you down there too. If you want, we can go to the gardens next time. A lot of the spirits have been praising that place from what I've been hearing.

Good luck to us both! I did not know that you were a warrior. Why did you not tell me before? We must spar as soon as we retrieve our items from the Witch. I would like to know more about your travels in the meantime. It seems that we have more in common than I thought. What is an RPG? What is a shounen character?

I work in the gardens during the day, but I have yet to explore all of them. What I have seen so far is very lovely. But please do not tease me! If someone reads your letters, how should I explain them? I would not mind it if you cooked for me, though...

No, he's reliable when you're dealing with them at least. But Coward-san is someone who abandons you at the last minute or ditches you in the middle of a conversation. No one's taught him decent manners, I assume.

The chance never bought itself up! I can't get rusty even while I'm here, so you're on. I'm part of a team that investigates bizarre magical occurrences, so I get to see a lot of strange stuff. An RPG is a type of video game where you travel around a lot, gain items and fight monsters. And a shounen character is a plucky guy who fights a lot, basically.

Do you have a favorite flower in specific? It sounds like a rea~lly huge garden. If anyone reads my letters, just say they're from someone who won't ever abandon you. (I'm not teasing either!) Have you ever eaten yakisoba? It's delicious.

Perhaps it is only a fantasy for many people. If you investigate magical occurrences, does that not make you a magician?

I like peonies. I have not tried yakisoba. Will you make it for me? And what sort of surprise has to do with tea? You remind me of my younger brother; he is very good at cooking. Should I have high expectations?

[The very first thing that came to his mind was "What's with that honorfic!?" and then second one was "Is she asking me out on a date? Has fate finally smiled upon me?!" But considering how urgent this message sounded quickly smashed his hope...!]

[Now this would've been the perfect set-up for a magazine cover. For a split second, Nagi had to wonder if there was a cameraman lurking around and taking pictures of Aki. He even glances around to make sure that he didn't see any suspicious looking figures. (Or see someone he knew to turn this into a big misunderstanding.)

Whenever he was sure that the coast was clear, he'll make his way to his seat and calmly sits down with his hands tucked underneath his chin. She's smiling, but he's staring at her in a rather deadpan fashion.]

[The sad thing is if there was a cameraman or paparazzi or someone taking screenshots it wouldn't be the first time. Luckily she isn't an idol here so they're both safe. And she just wonders what the hell he's doing, looking around.

Because of his staring she darts her eyes to the side uncomfortably, fighting the urge to look over her shoulder or slide out of the seat and leave. It's a complete contrast from her being so irritated at him the last time they spoke and getting in his face. She better say hi, it's weird to just sit here while he stares.

But not the first time it's happened to her.

Instead she sputters a bit into her cup at his unexpected greeting. One second please, she needs a moment to breathe air instead of liquid again and clean up the bit of tea from her chin.]

It's just a joke. Rather, punishment for what you said to Sei-chan before. I can think of something else if you don't like it.
